Alert: This is another song inspired post.
A song that I grew up listening to was “One Thing Remains” by Passion (look it up if you don’t know it). This song is simple, but deep. The song is about the love of God and how it never fails, no matter what you have been through or done. His love draws us to him. The wanting to be accepted and love. The comfort and the love becomes overwhelming and wanted in the core of your beings. We have a purpose in life and a calling on our lives. We know we aren’t alone, but we know that we have the creator, of everything, on our side.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son…” -John 3:16
People often see God as a mean God. They see him as a God of just judgmental and hateful. If you see God this way, you are missing out on some of the best parts about being a Christian. That thought might be holding you back from truly experiencing God. God truly does love us more than we can imagine or comprehend.
People can’t grasp or fully understand his love and often dismiss the thought entirely. They see Christianity and the Bible as a set of rules and they don’t see it as a loving relationship with our Creator.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.” -Matthew 10:29-31
He truly loves us no matter what. He knows every little detail about you and still chooses to love you with unconditional love. God will take care of your every need and will provide comfort and peace. So, don’t let anyone steal that joy, hope, comfort away from you.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:25-31
Lastly, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Because God sent his son, down to defeat death to take our sins, we are able to spend eternity with Him. Forever in comfort, peace, love, acceptance, and more. We just have to make the choice to accept his offer. The offer of accepting Christ into our heart and lives, believing that what He said is true when he saved us and committing to follow Him all the days of our lives. Don’t live your life one more day with an empty hole that you won’t ever be able to full. The only way to fill that empty space is through Jesus Christ.
I encourage you to look and listen to the song “One Thing Remains” by Passion, Read John 13:27-38, and John 3:16, Matthew 10:29-31 and Romans 8:25-31
